Parallel Importing & Dumping Do Not Advance Australia
Should we have serious concerns about the consequences of our gatekeepers decision making processes and whose interests they represent?
When the new head of the ACCC encourages imports to give consumers cheaper prices to create more competition for local businesses, he forgets that these imports mean that Australian manufacturing loses more jobs, as well as quality and standards in the supply chain.
Jobs lost are not replaced. Unemployed consumers have even less choices as they rely on Government assistance. Australia loses wealth, skills, reinvestment and opportunities for our people. Locally owned businesses go out of business with no handouts for" having a go" to build wealth for Australia with real productive jobs, and foreign owned businesses move off shore to sell back to us. And our labelling laws continue to confuse consumers.
Either way Advance Australia Where?
